Sabbatical Plans: “Ding DUH!”

Dear PeaceBangers,
Yesterday I purchased my tickets to fly out on the first part of my Sabbatical Adventures. I actually got so over-excited that my digestion went to pieces, I couldn’t really relax or focus all afternoon and had to sit myself down for 20 minutes of silence and deep breathing. Even with that intervention I’m feeling the after-effects of nervous exhaustion. Oy, my noives! What no one ever tells you about having chronic anxiety is that it can hit you hard and deplete you over wonderful, positive things, too! I’ve learned while I can’t entirely avoid getting over-excited, I can interrupt myself in the midst of it and take quiet-mind time (I don’t say “meditation,” because I know by now that I’m a terrible meditator). We’re staying very mellow today. Nothing even resembling caffeine or sugar shall pass my lips.
