I read an article recently that suggested that “Dark Knight” may be the best movie ever made.
Say whhaaaaaat????
I know it made enormous caverns of money it’s opening weekend and has sold out everywhere. That’s nice for the people who will profit from it, but it doesn’t mean it’s a great film. It’s a cultural phenomenon, but as a movie it was a sloppy, entertaining, riveting mess. And I mean cinematic mess: scenes that didn’t make any sense, mumbled dialogue (Yo Batman, take a Fisherman’s Friend lozenge and have a cup of hot tea, man, I can’t hear ya!), bizarre inconsistencies of plot and setting, and too many bleedin’ characters to keep track of.
