And Then Tonight…

After receiving that contemptuous “come to the Catholic Church, the one true faith” e-mail, I took myself out to dinner tonight to a place I’ve only been to twice. I don’t know what made me go there — I just knew they’d have fresh, healthy food and that I could eat at the bar and read my book with the Sox game in the background.
I wound up sitting next to a really nice couple. We started chatting about my book (The Madonnas of Leningrad), then we started talking in earnest about life and faith, and then the woman told me an incredible story about her family.
